Breed of the week!

1.The Spanish brought Appaloosa horses to North America at around 1710. Somehow the Appaloosa found their way into Indian hands which they used to trade to other Indians in which they spread around America.

2.The Nez Perce Indians used this breed as war horses for their intelligence, Speed, Beauty, Level-Headedness.

3.The common coat colors for Appaloosas are: Leopard (White base coat with large dark spots all over),Snowflake (Tiny light spots on a dark colored base), Blanket (White on hips and sometimes back and sometimes with base colored spots), Marble (Small dark spots on a light colored base), Frost (Tiny light colored sprinkles on dark base).

This particular Appaloosa has a blanket with a buckskin base-coat. He also has two pastern markings on his hind legs.

Why i like this breed:
I like this breed because of their special coat markings.
