Andalusian

Andalusian (Also known as the Purebred Spanish Horse)

1.Carthusian Monks beginning breeding the Andalusian horses in the late Middle Ages. In the late 1400's, studs were founded at monasteries in Terez, Seville, and Cazallo. The monks were great horse breeders and trainers, and kept the blood of their horses very pure.1800's when Napoleon's army invaded Spain and stole many of the Andalusian horses. One herd of Andalusians was hidden and used to revive the breed. In 1832, an epidemic devastated Spain's horse population. Only a small herd of Andalusians at the Monastery of Cartuja survived. No Andalusians were exported until 1962.

2. The Andalusian is normally light gray or white and rarely bay.The Andalusian is compact and usually stands 15.2 Hands high. The Mane and tail are full and abundant.It has a Flat head and small ears.The chest is quite big and the quarters are lean and the legs are clean.

3.This breed is known for its fantastic ability to learn and is great temperament and its elegance.

  This Andalusian is gray in color with Dapple-Gray spots and dark eyes.

1.The first ever recorded cream draft was found at a farm sale in Iowa in 1911. 'Old Granny',was her name,Appeared to only have draft in her bloodlines.

2.This horse is willing to work,and they make great harness horses.

3.The average appearance of this horse is they have rich cream coat, Pink skin, White mane and tail, And amber eyes.The average weight of mares is 1600 to 1800 pounds, and stallions weigh from 1800 to a ton. They stand from 15 to 16.3 hands high.

Akhal Teke

1.The Akhal Teke was origanated around the eighth century. This breed whas known as race horses as earley as 1000 B.C. They where also used as war horses by King Darius of Persia and by Alexander The Great of Rome.

2.The Akhal Teke is known for its Speed, Toughness, elegance and endurance.

3.This breed has a very elegant apperance. The long thin neck is placed almost vertically to the animals body. The forelegs of the Akhal Teke are fairly close together but are straight with a long forearm. The head is very fine with large eyes, wide nostrils, and a straight long profile. The ears
4.The average age of maturity is from 5-6 years.

5.The common color of the Akhal Teke is Dun and also can be Bay or Gray.

This Akhal Teke is a dark bay in color with a Star marking its forhead, one ankle marking on its right forearm and two half socks on its hind legs.
